Tucker the Goldendoodle

WOOF! Welcome to my own personal page, thanks to Goldendoodle World and my mom, Leslie. My new mom has kept in touch with Dee...owner of Goldendoodle World. Because I'm SO adorable (so I'm told), I get my own personal page!

When I was just a little boy, I was first spoiled by my care-taker, Miss Dee. She helped me enter this world; nurtured me and taught me how to go potty on newspapers. She really spoiled me alot with lots of hugs and kisses. Then I was told that I was getting a new family with kids. I was really excited about that! My new children loved me alot! They spoiled me with a baby crib that rocked...blankets...and all kinds of toys and treats! I got so many hugs it was terrific!

Dee,

Thanks a lot for the comments. Glad you like his photos. Let's see what I

can say about our big sweetheart!!! He loves to retrieve. Now that he is well trained, we take him to the front yard where there is more room to run and throw balls and this wind sock thing for him and he loves it. When he was a puppy we thought he was afraid of the water because he would jump around wildly on the leash. Our dog trainer told us that it was probably just excitement not fear. Since it has warmed up here, he now

loves to swim. If we even get near the edge of the pool, he jumps right in. He is very smart and is very curious. I highly recommend finding a good trainer to any Goldendoodle owner. For a while, I called him my big, bad, albeit, loveable toddler. He definitely needed structure and boundaries in order to make him a part of our family. He was very easy to train and we had so much fun with his basic training and we went to "college" too.

He loves to chase birds in the backyard, but with his training he is able to hold that urge when on a leash. He's such a good boy.

He is very patient with the children and lets them love all over him. They love to both hug him at the same time. He is very eager to meet new people and wants to play with all dogs he meets. He has a "girl friend" in the neighborhood, a golden retriever named Bailey. I've uploaded the better photos I have taken of Tucker to Snapfish.com and

I'll send you an invitation to the album shortly. (I don't have too many from when he was a puppy because I lost most of my photos from before December of 2006. SO actually, the puppy photos you have of him could you possibly send them back to me?) I tried again to see the grooming tips and the section on grooming and it asked for a password. I needed a little advice because now that Tucker is swimming often I find I'm having trouble keeping up with his coat. It is matting much more than it did before. I hardly had any problem before.

Thank you, Leslie, for sending me so many terrific photos! Click here to obtain grooming information for Tucker. I emailed you some pointers as well that I hope will help! I agree that all Goldendoodles should have someone train them because just like Golden Retrievers...if you give them an inch...they'll take a mile! They pick up on training, however, very quickly.

My mom, Leslie, is a really good photographer! She has taken alot of good pictures of me and my children.

As I've been growing, my lovely coat has been changing. I have lots of curls in my doodle coat. My coat can get really shaggy.

No doubt about it....I'm a very handsome doode!

Getting my picture taken makes me smile!

It's alot of fun.

My mom is a really good photographer but she gives me fun toys and cool things to wear and also makes me feel very special.

I love my playmates! We have so much fun! Say "cheese".

"Once I learned how to swim, it's been impossible for my mom to keep me away from the pool! I do have a strategy however!

First....I check to see if the water temperature is just right.

Then, I just sort of lay in it so I can get use to it.

Once I'm all wet...it's ALLEY OOPS from there!

Last one in is a yanky doodle!!!!!!

Exercising in the pool is not only fun....its fantastic!

I love my family! I love to swim! I even love to help my kids color easter eggs! There's so much that I enjoy doing but my favorite thing to do is to hang out with my kids because they always do fun things!

Sorry it's been a while since you heard from us. We found out rather suddenly that we were being transferred to Columbia, MO. So, it's been a crazy time around here. Tucker did fabulous with the move. I'm sure he misses the pool, but he has a huge backyard now to run around in and he enjoys barking at walkers and bike riders that he

can see from the back. Thought you might enjoy some more photos! I'm training for a half marathon right now and Tucker is too. The trail we run on is just

absolutely gorgeous. All shaded and so picturesque. He loves it.

We entered him in a newspaper fetching contest at a local Paws in the

Park day. He did great. He loves to retrieve. He didn't win but he

was so cute, he got kind of embarrassed by all the people looking at

him.

Dear Leslie,

Thank you so much for sending such adorable photos! Tucker is definitely okay in either a blue or pink hat! Whatever hat he wears....he looks GORGEOUS!

We wish he had won in his fetching but at least he gave the general public a good show as to what a doodle can do!

Dee,

I wanted to share photos of Tucker from his birthday a few weeks ago. Can't believe we've had him for 2 years already. My daughter made him a "treat cake" (treats and peanut butter) and we took him to a dog park with a lake. He loved it!! I think he definitely enjoyed his special day!

I've also included a photo of him from this winter. He likes to sled! Doesn't he look cute in his coat? He loved the snow too!

By the way he weighs 62 lbs now.
