2-11-03: Today we received this gorgeous picture of Mrs. Buehler and Roxy. Mrs. Buhler writes:
"Hello Lake Ridge,
This picture says it all. Roxy is bright and healthy. She weighs about 36 lbs. at 5 months. What a sweet dog!
Thanks,
N. Buehler
ps: We love her immensely
Hi Nancy,
Thanks so much for all the documents from your vet giving Roxy a perfect score and this WONDERFUL photo! I hope you don't mind that we share it with the world. Roxy looks like she loves YOU immensely !! I love the look she has on her face...it expresses sooo much love for you! Thanks for giving her such a wonderful home.
On 3-23-04, we received these two great pictures from D. of "Pierces' Special Hart" and Pierce.
"Hart" is one of our beautiful adult Goldendoodles who lives in Macon, Georgia with the Keen family.
D. writes:
"Dee, hope all is well with you. I wanted to show you an updated photo of Hart. He is a BEAR! He weighs about 75 pounds now and is still sweet and gentle as ever. I have never in my life known such a laid back, sweet animal. Charlie (the Miniature Schnauzer purchased from our kennel as well) is doing well too.
I will send you an updated photo of Charlie soon!
She is still totally and completely Pierces' dog. he loves Hart, too but there is something special between he and Charlie.
D. Keen
Hi you guys! Thank you so much for sending these great photos! We don't have too many pictures of our ADULT doodles, so it is really wonderful when our doodle families keep in contact and continue to send in pictures. Hart is so pretty! I also noticed he has golden highlights in his black...especially around his nose.
Pierce and Hart look very happy together. I'm also glad to hear that Charlie is doing well. Her mother and father send their love!
Thanks again and we hope to hear from you anytime!
If you wish to add another doodle to your family, just let us know! You've been a wonderful family to our dogs and we thank you highly for being such great parents!
Dee
On 3-22-04 we received this cute picture by M. Eberhardt.
She writes:
Hello! We are the proud parents of a doodle born 11-25-03, but purchased from a new breeder. It was a long journey but we finally got our doodle. To make a long story short,
We were going to purchase a puppy from you but your wait was too long. Also, the story here is that I have given your site out to many, many, many people from all over the country. We believe you are the cream of the crop!!!! Our little girls' name is Filomena Sophia Eberhardt. WE call her Fil, Filly, Filomena, doodle....and other cute names.
We have a digital camera and can take pics any time....we'd be happy to send you pictures of our little girl to add to your site.
Hi Maria,
Thank you for your comments and for sending us a picture of your lovely son and doodle. We always welcome other doodle owners to submit their pictures.......anyone who desires to join our doodle world, whether they purchased from us or not, is very welcome!

A LAKE RIDGE GOLDENDOODLE STORY..............
Phoebe and Goldie are Lake Ridge Goldendoodles who are older now. Since we don't have much information about "Goldie" and can't remember who owns her, we can only tell you about Phoebe.
Phoebe is a cream Lake Ridge Goldendoodle......she lives in PA. with a very nice couple......Mr. & Mrs. Read.
We thank both for sending us nice pictures of Phoebe so that we can see how she continues to grow and mature. To the left is how we remember Phoebe before she left for her new PA. home.
This is one of the first pictures we received of Phoebe, with her new pal............She looks simply elegant and happy! So much fluff that she is just too adorable! We actually liked this photo so much that we have Phoebe on our truck!
On April 14th, 2004 we received a nice card and great pictures from Mr. & Mrs. Read of Phoebe meeting her sister,
Goldie. Unfortunately, we do not know who owns Goldie but we do know she is an Lake Ridge Goldendoodle. Goldie is the shaggy one.......but very, very pretty just like Phoebe.
In this picture to the left, it looks like they are meeting for the first time and deciding who is who.
In the picture above, it looks like Goldie is saying....
"Hey!!!! Don't I know you from somewhere????"
Above it looks like our doodles are catching up on missed times and sharing some "home" time.
Goldie looks like she and Phoebe have a grand time catching up on old times and enjoying seeing each other again for NEW times.
Goldies' coat has been kept long and "shaggy" and Phoebes' coat is trimmed. Both styles are fantastic and our doodles look great with either coat styles. In this picture to the left is a good example of the difference between Cream and Apricot. Our cream doodles still have apricot in their coat (or golden hues, if you will) and our apricot is stays apricot or it can lighten. Mrs. Read says that Phoebe is now 60 lbs. at just slightly over 1 yr old and is doing very well.
"Well Goldie, its about time we say good-bye but I hope it isn't the last time you visit!!!"
Goldie and Phoebe share some resting time before saying their good-byes.
"It was really nice seeing you again, Phoebe. I hope we get to see each other more often"
Phoebe and Goldie kiss good-bye and hope to have more get togethers for fun times in the sun!
Tess was Mr. & Mrs. Reads' first doodle who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. We are sure that Tess is smiling down on the Read family and is delighted that they have found DOODLE love once again.
Molly (the gorgeous silver girl) and Murphy...the handsome black dude are enjoying some sun with their "grandma" in sunny California!
Both Molly and Murphy are Lake Ridge Goldendoodles.
Molly (left) and Murphy (right) are both Lake Ridge Goldendoodles. Molly was jet black while with us...but I see she has begun to turn silver...which occasionally occurs with our black doodles. Our silver doodles are very unique and and occur at random.
CLICK HEREfor more photos of dark colored goldendoodles.
7-16-04: "TEDDY" is our very first "International" doodle and will be residing in Magstadt, Germany. He will soon be departing for Frankfurt. Teddy is the son of Trixie and Darby.
If you are seeking a lovely doodle addition for your family,
8-11-04: Meet "Buffy"; She is the daughter of Mystee and Duke.
Buffy is now 6 months old and her new mom says she is about 20" inches tall and weighs about 25 pounds. Paige sent us these really nice photos of Buffy and says:
"Hi Dee,
I just mailed you the papers for having Buffy spayed. She is from Mystee's litter. The first one to leave from her litter. She weighs 25 pounds and is about 20" inches tall. Buffy is now 6 months old. We just love her to death!!!! She is the joy of our lives......VERY SPOILED TOO! lol
Don't know which picture I like the best, so I am sending you both.
They were taken outside in our Gazebo. She began to lighten up some, now she is starting to darken again.
Doug & Paige McClure
North Carolina
Hi Paige and Doug! Thank you so much for sending these pictures of Buffy. She is UTTERLY ADORABLE!
It is very nice to see she has that shag going on now and I do remember how much like a Golden Retriever she and her siblings looked like when they were born and just before they left. She is VERY light! I don't think she will get too dark because Mystee is apricot and Duke is a light Golden. Of course you will always see the Golden hues in our doodles' coat.
We do hope you will keep us posted on her progress and send us new pictures when she turns 1 year old! We would love to know how tall she is and what her genetic weight is at the age of 1.
Give her a hug and thanks again for staying in touch!
Dee
AN UPDATE ON DAISY (Maras' pup):
Hi Dee!
Daisy is amazing!!!!!!! She is adorable; the talk of the neighborhood (everyone knows her and loves her). I'll walk by and someone will say "Hi Daisy!" and I'm like "How do you know my dog???". She is sooo popular! She is sweet, extremely mellow for a six months old puppy and people can't believe she is a puppy!
Strangers constantly comment on her amazing disposition! She is just a sweety. Her puppy class teacher was madly in love with her as is her dog walker. (as I am, if you can't tell...she literally has changed my life and she makes me soo, soo, sooo happy!)
She is growing. I weighed her on Saturday and she is up to 35 pounds! I have a bunch of pictures I need to develop and send to you. She looks just so adorable and her color is getting lighter and lighter. She is incredibly smart!
All she wants to do is play, play and play some more.
She is just a big, floppy clutz! Daisy graduated from puppy class 2 weeks ago and is doing well with her training. She does test me on a daily basis and I have to remind her that she's not the boss!
We go to a special beach in Chicago that is just for dogs and Daisy loves it! She swims several times a week. She loves the water and loves chasing dogs in the water, more.
A friend of mine just asked me for your information for a friend of hers.......not sure of their name but someone will be contacting you. I have also given your name to a couple other people so you might already even have gotten some more Chicago business and Daisy is DEFINITELY YOUR P.R. PERSON! I literally get stopped each and every day on multiple occasions just because people love her so much.
I'll get those pictures off to you very soon! Thanks for checking in!!!!
Nancy
Hi Nancy....Thanks for the update and such a long email! I always enjoy hearing from our doodle customers and knowing how the pups are doing! To know she is with a very caring person and that she is turning out exactly what we expected her to be is completely wonderful! We can't wait to get the new pictures! Hugs to Daisy and to your beautiful curly haired daughter! It does not surprise us that our doodles are definite ice breakers and can literally MELT YOUR HEART!
Dee
Meet "SNICKERS".....one of our most beautiful, chocolate, green eyed doodles from Jasmines' litter!
COCOA is her father. Julie says Snickers is just wonderful....is a real helper where "sorting clothes" is concerned (that must be funny to watch!) and is very comical and playful.
D. Keen of Atlanta, Georgia sent us these lovely pictures in late September of 2004......the Black Goldendoodle is "Pierces' Special Hart" and the Miniature Schnauzer is "Charlie". Both dogs came from our Kennel. D. Keen reports that both Hart and Charlie are doing great and they continue to be a wonderful family addition! We Thank you for sending these great photos and for staying in touch! Both dogs look very happy!
This lovely little male Goldendoodle is an apricot beauty from Lillys' litter.......2004. Mr. and Mrs. Smith of South Carolina shared these two photos with us. They report they are very happy with their new "baby boy" and that he has made himself right at home. We hope to continue to hear about his progress as he ages. Thank you!
Julie, of Ohio, sent us these three lovely photos of "our" beloved SNICKERS and her two children......Snickers is one of our beautiful, green eyed, Chocolate Goldendoodles out of Jasmines' litter. Thanks so much, Julie, for taking Snickers to the recent Doodle Romp. We look forward in hearing the continued progress of both Rusty and Snickers. SEND MORE PHOTOS!
Dee
On Oct. 10, 2004 we received these great photos and email from C. Head who reside in California and own 2 of our beautiful Goldendoodles....a black doodle named Murphy and a silver doodle named Molly... he writes:
"Hi Dee,
Thought you would enjoy seeing how Molly and Murphy are growing! The pictures were taken in September. Murphy is 26" tall and weighs 71 pounds and Molly is 61 pounds. Our vet things they will gain another 4-5 pounds, especially Murphy. If his feet are any clue...he will!
As you can see from their expressions, they are both very loving! They have been excellent with Melissa, 7 years, and Great Grandma who is 96. They are great car riders, crate trained for night sleep and good on their gentle leaders. Both do great on their leashes and are very sociable with children and other dogs. They draw attention where ever they go and people are curious about the breed. We refer them to your website. Needless to say, we are very much in love with them. It is such a joy to watch them play and interact with each other.
Charles & Teresa Head
Fremont, California
Hi Charles and Teresa....Thanks so much for sending these wonderful pictures! I am also glad to hear they are doing great and have become such a large extension of your family. This is what we strive for in our Goldendoodles.
I do see that Molly has turned out to become a "Silver Phantom" in color...........this coloration is extremely difficult to achieve even in the Poodle world and what a cutie Murphy has become! The funny thing is, Molly was black when she left here. Please ensure that you contact the Kennel Club to get your UKCI registration changed since her coloring is no longer black....as we thought she was going to be. She is a "silver phantom". Unfortunately, this coloration does not begin to show until a puppy is nearly six months in age and unless they are with us at that age, it is hard for us to know what color they will actually stay. We hope you continue to keep in touch so we can watch them grow! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
This email was sent to us from Julie of Ohio at the end of November, 2004:
Hi Dee,
Just wanted to take a minute to tell you that I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with Rusty and of course, Snickers, too. They are both delightful to have around and I cannot believe how much attention and affection they get from people who are not "dog people". Snickers is the favorite (above left, chocolate doodle) at the vets and the groomers (staff literally come running as soon as we check in) I'm sure Rusty (above right, apricot doodle) will be the same way.
He hasn't met as many people....trying to keep his life a low profile until he is older. Yesterday, I had a computer repair person here at the office and she actually charged me less because she could not get over how cute Rusty is and how well behaved he was during her visit. That has got to be a first!!! (being charged less!)
You would really be happy to see how well they get along. They now spend all of their naptime curled up together.
Snickers favorite thing to do is still run, run and run some more! She loves the "fetch Toy" which was the first toy that I have her. Rusty doesn't seem to have a favorite yet, but when he grabs the stuffed shark toy (which I refer to as Jaws) it is hysterical to see him prance toward you with a toy as big as he is!!! He has such a fun sense of play and does not seem as competitive as Snickers. Maybe that will change, who knows.
I am grateful, also, for your continued support. You are such a good sport about answering all of my questions, Dee! That didn't surprise me at first, but even now, I appreciate how you really take the time to talk. I am looking forward to watching them play in the snow for the first time. Bet they'll love it!
All I will say about the puppies and the kids is...puppy care is the only chore they don't complain about! They are the best puppy sitters. I think we will take several steps backwards in obedience, but it's worth it for the giggles and the puppy kisses (snickers is a little stingy with hers, but Rusty is a big smoocher!)
Thanks again for such wonderful family members. We are so lucky to have two from you!!! I feel sorry for anyone who buys just one...they don't know what they are missing out on!
Your friend,
Julie
Dear Julie, Thank you for the long email ....we have appreciated your friendship and all of your correspondance...but DO await photos!!!haha Happy 2004 HOlidays!
Dee
On Dec. 13th, 2004...we received this great email from Daisys' mommy....
"Hi Dee,
I have been meaning to send you some pictures of our Daisy Girl and I finally took a few this weekend. I tried to place a bow on her for a little Holiday picture, but it didn't work out too well! But at least you can see how big and adorable she has gotten. Daisy is now 9 months old!! She's up to about 50 pounds but haven't weighed her lately. The last time we were at the vet, she was 44 pounds and I know she has grown alot since then.
Anyhow, she continues to do great and is truly the love of my life!!!!!!! She wakes up wanting to play and is always a happy girl. She experienced her first snow a few weeks ago and once she figured out she could pee and poop in it, she then discovered it tasted alot like drinking water and she started chowing down! The best part was then she decided that she loved the snow so much, she just rolled and rolled in it until she looked like the abominable snow dog! She is just the best. Hope all is well and wishing you and yours a happy Holiday season.
Fondly,
Nancy and Daisy
Hi Nancy....happy holidays to you and Daisy.....I absolutely love the pictures and she is such a beautiful girl!
Thank you so much for keeping in touch and we wish you both the best for 2005!
Dee
On Dec. 13th, 2004 we received yet another nice email and more photos of Sydney Madison with her very sweet friend, Justin.....Roxanne writes:
"Hi Dee,
This is taking awhile but today is our 1 year anniversary from picking up our not so little anymore, Sydney Madison. As you can imagine, she has really become a huge part of our family. She is still as sweet as she can be and we just love her so much! You can tell (by these photos) that she and Justin have a very playful relationship...Have a wonderful Holiday and thanks so much, again, for a wonderful doodle!
Roxanne, Lenny, Gianna and Justin...and of course, Sydney
Roxanne, Happy Holidays to you and your family and Sydney too! Thank you so much for the wonderful photos. Sydney looks so happy that she appears to be bursting at the seams!
We hope that 2005 will be a wonderful, safe and happy new year for your entire family! WOOF, WOOF Sydney!!
Dee
On Dec. 16th, 2004 Julie sent us some great pictures of Rusty (Lola & Kings' litter) and Snickers...one of our gorgeous solid Chocolate doodles. We hope Julie will resend us the great pics as they were a bit too small and enlarging them has caused them to be a bit blurred, but we wanted to get them on here so that others could see how great and happy these doodles are with their family. There is a huge, looooooong story behind Rusty........but I am glad all worked out for him to now live in Ohio.
He is happy, enjoying his new friend Snickers and loves his new family.
Looks like Andy and Rusty have become great friends!
Rusty is healthy........doing just great and we completely enjoy the fact that Julie keeps in touch with us to let us know how both he and Snickers are progressing.
The last portion of 2004 has been extremely difficult in many numerous ways and I know you had a very long wait for Rusty but I am glad that he finally was able to arrive to you and your family. I am glad to see Andy so happy with his new apricot doodle puppy.
We appreciate, Julie, your keeping in contact with us regarding our doodles, to include all of your emails. My spouse enduring a near fatal motorcycle accident the last part of 2004 has to have been our greatest challenge yet and we definitely appreciate everyones support and prayers.
Have a great Christmas and definitely a better 2005! I know that we are praying for a better new year and a very quick and successful recovery for my husband...thankfully he is very determined to overcome his injuries.
Take care Julie! We look forward in you resending the pictures as your pixels were too small for us to enlarge them to look better.....ha!
Dee
On 12/26/04, we received these wonderful pictures of "Brandy" and the soloman children!
Brandy is a Lake Ridge Goldendoodle who was flown to her new family, after being spayed, on Nov.
18, 2004.
Brandy left on the same day for her new family as several of our other puppies to include Rusty, up above. The report is that Brandy is now 12 wks old, can ring a bell to go outside, sit, stay and knows several other commands and is AT THE TOP OF HER PUPPY KINDERGARTEN CLASS! Mrs. Soloman reports also that Brandy is highly intelligent, loving to a fault , very healthy and her kids are just "ga ga" over her!
Thank you so much for these wonderful photos Robin!!! Everyone looks blissfully happy and it does NOT surprise me that your doodle is highly intelligent and at the top of her puppy class! I have had others report to me that their Goldendoodles produced by our kennel is the STAR of their puppy Kindergarten classes and that everyone reports how much better they act compared to other doodles.
This statement was even made by a vet out of state! Lake Ridge Goldendoodles are so much better than most created..........but then, we already knew that! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND WE WISH YOU A WONDERFUL AND SAFE 2005!!!!
Dee
On 1-8-05, we received this email from Stephanie of Utah :
Dee,
I wanted to let you know how much we love our doodle. We named him "Murphy B" and he is such a cutie! Our boys treat him as if he is their third brother. He is loving the Utah snow and loves to run and romp around with the boys. Just today he went for his first snow sled ride. He is doing wel with his crate training and is already barking for us at the door when we don't move fast enough for him. At first, we were heartbroken about losing our apricot doodle but now that we have our Murphy, we are absolutely in love with Black Goldendoodles!!! Pictures just do not do them justice because they are stunning with their shiny black coats. When you see them in person, it is incredible to see just how pretty they are. It is sad that they are so under-represented (by others who only seek out the apricots.) We plan to send you lots of pictures...our camera broke at the airport while picking up Murphy but it will be fixed soon....so LOOK OUT! We want to stock up your website with fantastic pictures of beautiful Black Goldendoodles!
Thanks so much for everthing Dee!
Stephanie
Hello Stephanie and thank you so much for letting us know how your doodle is doing! It looks like we now have TWO Murphy doodles now!haha I have to agree with you that our black Goldendoodles are just not fully appreciated by pictures because the photos really do not do them justice and those seeking a doodle don't really get that many opportunities to meet a dark colored doodle....so many only seek out the light colored ones that few are able to run across a dark colored one. If you think our blacks are beautiful...you should see our Silver phantoms in person!
They are completely awesome! I would love for you to send as many photos as you like and we will create a personal page just for Murphy if we have enough photos! I included the one up above so people can see how funny our puppies can be! These pups were climbing up on their playpen to try and socialize with one of my Golden Retrievers who has pups in her birthing unit. They are always climbing up and trying to talk to the other dogs! We lay out newspapers on the floor where our adult mother dogs walk because they have a tendency to track in mud when it rains from going outside to potty......it helps keep down the germs since mopping every ten minutes is just not an easy chore!
We are glad you are enjoying your doodle and please keep in touch! Thank you for sending us such a great picture of your beautiful two boys...I keep it on my refrigerator inside where I work....my grandkids are a bit older than your two boys....but children are the entire reason we continue to do what we do. There is nothing greater than to see the delight of a childs' face with their first dog....our doodles are readily eager to provide as much attention, love and kisses as one can stand.
WE GUARANTEE THAT OUR DOODLES ARE QUICK TO STEAL THE LIME-LIGHT....THEY ENJOY GETTING ATTENTION FROM EVERYONE AND ENJOY BEING THE STAR OF ANY TYPE OF CANINE CLASS YOU PLACE THEM IN. They are so use to getting plenty of attention that this is all they come to expect.
Keep them safe and warm and they will happily shower you with plenty of kisses!!!
Dee
On 2-25-04, we received some really nice photos from Paul with regards to ROXY.....one of our beautiful silver phantom Goldendoodles. Paul writes:
Hi Dee,
Update on Roxy....her parents are Cocoa Moe & Maragold. One year old on 2/23/05. She weighs in at 50 pounds. What do you estimate her weight will top out at? Thought you would like to see some pics of the birthday girl. You can see how beautiful her color is and actually, she is much prettier in person. She is a remarkable Dog and a true pleasure to be with. You do not know how much happiness you have brought to our home by sending Roxy to us in 2004! I switched her over to INOVA dry food and she is doing fantastic on it.
My experience with you in obtaining Roxy was very pleasant and I appreciate you being available to answer my questions when I call . My family adores Roxy and we recommend you to everyone who asks about Roxy. One person we recommended to you actually got a black female Goldendoodle from you about a month ago. I'll let her know you'd like to see some photos of her new doodle when I see her again. Take care and once again, Thank you again for sending Roxy into our lives.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROXY!!! Thank you so much for these lovely photos....we sort of enhanced them a bit! Yes...I remember Roxy quite well because she is only my second Silver phantom Goldendoodle to be created! That we know of anyway! When our puppies leave here young, they are not old enough to turn silver and it isn't until later that we find out our "black" goldendoodles have turned very silver. In Roxy's case, I knew by the time she was 10 weeks old that she was going to be a phantom! Thank you for calling me on 2-26-05 and for offering to be a "reference". I did hyperlink your name so anyone who wants to email you can. This is the only time we will give out a customers' email address, is when they offer to have it listed on our website. Roxy's weight at 1 year old is her genetic weight.
Goldendoodles are considered to be full grown by the age of 1 year. Any weight she may gain after her 1 yr. birthday is all environmental. I was given some helpful information by a new customer who owns a Golden Retriever who likes to swim with regards to the ears. He says he places a few drops of "swimmers ear" medication in his Golden Retrievers' ears after cleaning out the ears and after his dog has been in the water. Says it works terrific and has never had an ear problem since. I am sure this would work on Goldendoodles who love the water as their ears are heavy and can trap moisture from the long hair. Once again, thank you so much for these great pictures! I am placing them in my GOLDENDOODLE STORE...so if you want to purchase some great doodle gifts......CLICK HERE to see what our store has!
Dee
Meet Luke! He is now 2 years old and is a Lake Ridge Goldendoodle! Special Thanks to Mimi for sending us this recent photo on 8-3-05! Mimi says that Luke is very loved in his family.......makes alot of friends and is ultra sweet!
Can that possibly be???? An ultra sweet, Lake Ridge Goldendoodle????
